The Iron Knight (Iron Fey #4) was such an anticipated book for me as well as to so many others that have fallen deeply in love with the world in which Julie Kagawa has so artfully created. Her brilliance shines once again in this final installment of the Iron Fey series.  The question that lingers on all of our minds, will Ash and Meghan finally get their HEA?

I wanted to share with you all, one of my most favorite parts in this series…

I completely and utterly fell in love with Ash, more than ever before as I took this “quest to earn a soul” with him as well as a few of the other characters we have grown to love in the Iron Fey. There are obstacles they will face and losses they will mourn.  This is the quest of all quests that will challenge loyalties and friendships, but above all, a real true love.

I was emotionally attached to this series from the get-go and hoped it would never end. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. For me, this was such a beautiful way to bow out IMO.  This treasure of a book is one you want to take your time with and indulge in every moment and take it all in.

This is going to be short and sweet simply because It's so hard to write a review and do justice on a book that completely sweeps you off your feet in every way possible!!! This is such an AMAZING series and I really, really don't want it to ever end!!

Cascade was another addicting addition to River of Time series. I can ramble on and on but if you have read Waterfall, you are in for another AWESOME reading experience that will linger in your thoughts for quite some time. I read this a while ago now, and I still feel giddy when I think about it! It is a MUST read! Absolutely hands down one of my ALL-Time FAVS!!!

I love that there is never a dull moment, the action keeps anyone with a hint of A.D.D flipping those pages and totally submerged within them!

You get action, romance, deception, a heroin with more will-power and determination that makes your heart pump at an excessive rate (those who have cardiac conditions..may want to read in intervals) (just joking). You have a major swoon-worthy male counterpart that will have you squeezing your book/e-reader in the palms of your hands and hopeing to the high heavens that he reveals those luscious abs that we all come to love! Not only that, but let me tell you, Marcello is not only all of the above but he has a heart of gold and a deep devotion of love for Gabby that anyone with a fairy-tale dream generated guy in their mind will fit him in that place.

You want secondary characters that blow your mind and add just as much flavor to the story...this one has that and more.

Cascade picks up right where Waterfall left off. The She-Wolves of Siena are back with more tough decisions, bubonic plague etc.

This isn't my typical review and I have a tendancy to ramble on about books I am totally in love with, but I just can't say enough how much I love it!

The cover is gorgeous and the story was most interesting. The protagonist as well as the other characters in this story are very original and interesting. It is a long book, and at times you may feel it drag on a little but as you move along you get pulled in.

In her seventeenth year, Princess Alera of Hytanica faces one duty: to marry the man who will be king. But her father's choice of suitor fills her with despair.
When the palace guard captures and intruder—a boy her age with steel-blue eyes, hailing from her kingdom's greatest enemy—Alera is alarmed…and intrigued. But she could not have guessed that their clandestine meetings would unveil the dark legacy shadowing both their lands.

This will end with a big cliffhanger and looking forward to the next installment.

Craving Perfect

This was refreshing. I thought it was going to be one of those silly books that are typically redemptive, but it had a unique twist to it. I especialy liked the character of Carlos, the brooding lawyer by night, cleaning man by day. I can see a lot of spin off characters/stories from this one.
I am dying to try the raspberry scone recipe at the end of the book. The book made me rather hungry several times, especially when they were at Carlos's uncle's restaurant.
I also liked the setting of the book. I love Arizona. It was a simple, quick read with a great message of you don't always need what you want.

Go the Fk to Sleep by Adam Mansbach

Yikes, right? The first time I heard about this book, I giggled nervously, but boy was I intrigued. I heard about it on Facebook, but then forgot about it until I saw it on NetGalley. I, of course, requested to read/review it.

I think, for those of us as parents, remember or are living the frustration of trying to get our children to sleep. My son is 9 and still struggles at night sometimes.

This book is written in rhyme (I know!). I was surprised at that, but i don't really know why. What was I expecting with a title like that? I didn't realize how many words rhyme with "sleep" or how many ways you can use the "f" word in this context, but Mansbach does it swimmingly.

The illustrations were wonderful. They reminded me of the sleepytime books i used to read to Eddie, my son. So the rhyming and the pictures told one story, but the words told a completely different one.
The book is entertaining and real - I loved how the frustration built and you can almost FEEL the tiredness seeping from the author as the book continues. I was reminded of times when I would get Eddie to sleep, tiptoe out of his room, only to have him awakened by a household noise not 5 minutes later. We've all been there as parents, and Mansbach has taken what many parents have thought in their heads, but (hopefully) haven't uttered aloud. I think he has put it out there to let parents commiserate and laugh about something as simple (and mindblowingly hair tearing) as getting your children to sleep.
So I give it 4 stars, but here are some caveats. If you don't like swearing, steer clear. If you are one of those parents whose children brush their teeth, wash their faces, snuggle into their made up beds, read for 5 minutes and then obligingly obey at the "lights out" command, steer clear of normal parents. No one wants to hear it.

Always the Wedding Planner, Never the Bride

This was my first read on my new Kindle! I was able to view it through Netgalley, and here is my review.

It was a quick read. I liked the characters and some of them, like Russel, were darn interesting. I would have liked to have seen more info on him. The story was typical, but had some surprises and I enjoyed the additional wedding information and the recipes at the beginning of the chapters. As I told Amber, it was like cookies for my eyes. Sweet and quick.

3 stars!

Hourglass by Myra McEntire

Hourglass was fun, interesting and very well thought out. I anticipated reading this book and I'm so glad I jumped on it.It started a little slow at first but I think it is partly due to interuptions. The writing is easy to follow and the timeline of events is precise, well executed.

I loved that quote, reminding me of one of my favorite childhood movies. It was relevant due to the fact that Emerson our protagonist can see ghosts (rips as she calls them). Since her parents passed away in an accident, Emerson now is living with her brother Thomas and his wife Dru. Both Thomas and Dru are fantastic characters.There really is an undeniable love there between themselves and with Emerson. I love that they took her in under their wings.

Emerson has been through a whole lot of tramatic events in her young life and she has been close lipped about not taking her medication to her brother and Dru. Her brother has been trying to find someone to help Emerson with her particular "problem". The only person Emerson really talks to is her friend Lily. She is the only one who has been there for her and accepts the way she is. Lily also has a fun sense of humor and has a little secret of her own...

Dru and Thomas restore old buildings which is unfortunate for Emerson due to the fact that people from the past seem to be popping up around her. Thomas had a contact who might be able to help Emerson. He works for a place called Hourglass.

In walks her so called "consultant", Michael Weaver. (He sounds like a super yummy, attractive guy and oh so swoon worthy). There seems to be a connection between them somewhat early on in the story. Michael doesn't want to mix business with pleasure and throughout the story he reminds Emerson even though deep down you know there are intense feelings being harbored.

I got a little agitated with the "no fraternizing' issue, but after I was further along in the book it made sense. As much as I wanted them to unleash on each other, I understood why Michael had to stay strong. You will understand as well once you read the story.

Emerson's eyes are opened up to a whole lot more than she ever could have imagined. There's a creeper named Jack who appears in her room, a mysterious death, time travel, scandal, romance, and so much more.

This story will captivate you and bring a few giggles too. All in all, a very good story and I would recommend it to anyone.

The story unfolds beautifully and there's some unexpected twists that will have you gasping out. The ending was everything I could have hoped for and more. I admit, I had tears in my eyes, but happy tears.

What an amazing series! If you are looking for a unique blend of Vampires, action, romance and some serious hotties this is a series you won't want to miss!!

The story plot is based in a created town of Morganville. Here is where the story unfolds.Young over-achiever Claire, has graduated early from her high school and is off to college in Morganville. Some are born and raised in Morganville and are accustomed to the life that intermingles with vampires. Those that are lucky aren't even aware of the dangers that are so very close to them with a little protection in place of course. Most families have a vampire protector which then they wear their "protectors" symbol. Most are bracelets.
Our protag Claire is greeted with one hell of a welcoming committee, nothing short of missing laundry, a shove down some stairs and threats on her life thanks to Monica and her band of nasty followers. Every great story has an amazing lead character and an equally hot counterpart. This one delivers that and more.
Claire has decided she cannot live in the dorms due to her bad experience and has found an ad in the local paper seeking a roommate. Claire has been accepted to live in the Glass House which consists of Michael, Eve and Shane. Each of them have their quirks and stories, not all good of course. Trouble always seems to find "The Glass House Four" as I call them. They seem to attract to wrong attention everywhere they go.
Mysterious Michael is a great musician but as of late he has not been playing in his normal hot spots. He seems to be sleeping during the day and always around a night. Hmmm, it's not what you think and if you are curious you really need to read this to get all your answers. Soon enough, our smart, witty little protag Claire, figures out that the people of Morganville are not what they seem and are ruled by the founding vampire Amelie. Amelie has tried to create a safe place where vampires and the human race can co-exist. Theres only one problem....there is something happening to the vampires and only a small few are aware of what it is.
There is a whole lot of action, suspense, twist that you never would have anticipated and some seriously awesome snarky comments. You will pretty much encounter just about every emotion as you travel through the story of The Morganville Vampires.
